Esta nueva deidad aprisionada,
y entre grillos y rejas no segura,
mueve el orden fatal de la ventura
con misteriosa mano arrebatada.
Cisne, Fénix de amor, ave dotada
del atributo de la luz más pura,
cuyo fraude en letargos de dulzura
nos entrega a la muerte idolatrada,
los eternos sufragios escarnece,
y en tribunal de apetecida pena
la causa esconde que el milagro hace.
Pasa el peligro al que el aviso ofrece,
y con la misma muerte que condena
a los que deja muerto satisface.
