- CLXXXI - Sonetos sacros
Cesen mis ansias ya desengañadas
del prolijo anhelar de mis porfías,
cesen aquí las esperanzas mías,
desmentidas primero que formadas.
No escarnecidas ya, sino avisadas,
mis voces lograrán orejas pías,
un sol verán mis ojos y unos días
que consten de horas nunca adulteradas.
De estas ondas el claro movimiento
espejo es que me muestra en el más puro
cristal de sus orillas mi escarmiento.
Quedándole ya sólo por seguro
a mi querella el tribunal del viento,
a mi fortuna un esperar oscuro.
