De nuestras selvas el mejor Narciso,
o por lo bello o por lo enamorado,
de suerte no, de cristal sí animado,
quejoso he visto yo de un verde aliso.
Norte será de hoy más, árbol de aviso,
en piélagos de llanto, en cielo airado,
de un firme corazón que, desamado,
dio experiencias de amor de cuanto quiso.
Huyan pastores, caminantes dejen
la estrecha senda, el infeliz camino
que niega un ciego dios sin fe ninguna.
Y si no la huyeren no se quejen,
pues les da luz y les conduce a tino
el peligroso error de mi fortuna.
