Estas ansias de amor tan oficiosas
en estar sus peligros previniendo,
ofenden sin temor y están temiendo
mil cobardes quimeras sospechosas.
Víboras y serpientes venenosas,
que en lo inmortal ponzoña están vertiendo
interiormente muerden, y en mordiendo,
dejan rabiando y quedan rabiosas.
Peligrosa asistencia de un cuidado,
que lo que no quisiera significa,
y todo lo desea hallar culpable.
Mal que tiene de bien el ser buscado,
remedio que la muerte pronostica,
y agravia el mal, dejándole incurable.
