Aquí donde fortuna me destierra
con vos estoy, señora, aunque sin veros,
por milagro este bien me hizo quereros,
que en lo demás ningún pesar me yerra.
Sin que pueda morir me falta tierra;
moriré en la memoria de perderos,
seguro con saber que ha de teneros
en sí mi alma donde Amor os cierra.
A la vista inmortal del pensamiento
no se verá jamás que ausencia impida
lo que impide a mis ojos hoy mi suerte.
Ni yo desde tan largo apartamiento
tengo más que ofreceros que una vida,
que de no veros es eterna muerte.
