Cuando yo so delante a aquella donna
a cuyo mando me sojuzgó amor
cuido ser uno de los que en Tabor
vieron la gran claror que se razona,
o aquella se a fija de latina
según su aspecto e grande resplandor;
así que punto yo non he vigor
de mirar fijo su real persona.
El su grato favor dulce amoroso
es una maravilla ciertamente
e modo nuevo en humanidad:
el andar suyo es con tal reposo
honesto e manso e su continente
que, libre, vivo en cautividad.
