- III -

Menudas hojas que del aire leve
recibís el continuo movimiento,
mar azul con espalda crespa al viento,
cuando animoso en soplos se os atreve;
Cielos, cuya gran máquina se mueve,
forzándole a seguir curso violento;
luna, que nos enseña rostros ciento
en el discurso de un espacio breve;
claro mar, cielo azul y luna llena,
hojas cubiertas de la escarcha helada,
que causáis torozón a cualquier potro,
Si a Zahara veis, manifestad mi pena;
pero si no la veis, no digáis nada;
¡Tanto me va en lo uno como en lo otro!
