A nuevo ya esplendor restituida
hermosísima luz tu ser mejoras,
pues a la noche las tinieblas doras,
de su seno la sombra desmentida.
Si de la edad, que vives repetida,
aun los caducos términos ignoras,
en el índice vuelve de las horas
segunda vez a regular tu vida.
O tú feliz, a quien el fin violento
tantos avisan mudos desengaños,
que un momento te da ¡otro momento!
Y yo si en el ejemplo de tus daños,
como llegué a observar el escarmiento,
llego también a castigar mis años.
