Recibe Luz en esta tumba oscura,
o huésped ciego, y recibiendo advierte
que cenizas produce, y llanto vierte
la grandeza, la pompa, la hermosura.
El claro de Austria sol, cuya luz pura
amaneció en España, eclipse fuerte,
padece (exento de segunda muerte)
debajo el cerco de una piedra dura.
Su luz volvió a la luz, que luces crece,
su sombra sigue el natural gobierno,
y el esplendor de España se oscurece.
Detén (si es que podrás) el llanto tierno,
y en vez sobre aras de cristal, ofrece
durable aroma, y holocausto eterno.
