- IV - Envidia dulce
Tras el desdén de las que argenta escamas,
goza el amante del vellón que dora;
pasó el rigor del hielo y ya de Flora
es el campo galán en mil retamas.
El pajarillo entre las dulces ramas
corresponde a la voz que le enamora;
el tierno amante, aljófar de la aurora,
blancas flores abraza y verdes gramas.
¡Oh, todos venturosos amadores,
a quien asignan los piadosos cielos,
para un rigor, sin número favores!
¿Cuándo saldrá mi sol de tantos hielos?
¿Cuándo se oirá esta voz? ¿Cuándo habrá flores?
¿Cuándo tendrán reposo mis desvelos?
