- LXXXVI - Amor razonable no se mitiga con la posesión

¿Si Amor echó de su vibrante cuerda,
la rubia flecha, que en su sangre viste,
como tu sueño su dolor resiste
si al más ajeno de sentir recuerda?
Ya que no de tu mal, de mí te acuerda,
escucha el curso de mi llanto triste,
escucha el cierzo que a mi pecho embiste,
antes que el sueño en tus pestañas muerda.
No temas, que el deleite oscuro, reo,
mi amor ofenda, pues razón le obliga
y firme estrella, a la razón le llama.
Hijo suyo es mi amor, no del deseo,
y así la posesión no le mitiga,
antes es, la materia de su llama.
