- CXIII - A Guadarrama en la venida de los reyes a Madrid
Hórrido puerto, a cuyo ceño cano,
el más robusto tiembla peregrino,
dispensa en el rigor deja el camino
exento de peligros, sino llano.
Mira a tus Reyes con semblante humano;
aunque eres hoy la faz del frío divino;
aprenda el corto monte Vizcaíno
del generoso monte Castellano.
Y aunque con frentes dos, una arrogancia
mostrando a dos Castillas, intereses
de mil Talantes singular ganancia.
Es bien que un tanto en las batallas ceses;
porque se entienda que a la Lis de Francia,
aun los montes de España son corteses.
