Este mundo abreviado, este edificio,
fábrica del artífice del cielo;
desde la cima hasta el humilde suelo
de Fénix es, a Fénix es propicio.
Aquí reverenciando su servicio
la voluntad, con amoroso celo,
(altar mi corazón) mejor que Delo
hace del gusto eterno sacrificio.
¡Oh celos! y queréis ciegos profanos,
violando el templo de mi dulce hermosa,
dentro en mi pecho ensangrentar las manos.
Hijo de una sospecha temerosa
¿no sois (al parecer) de envidia hermanos?
¿por qué empresa intentáis dificultosa?
