- CXX - Señor San Pedro Mártir

En fuentes mil su sangre divertida
ostenta Pedro un mar donde navega
seguro, aunque le rige la fe ciega
el patrio puerto de la eterna vida.

Huye el piélago inmenso de la herida,
viendo que el cuerpo en su rigor se anega,
y al dulce estrecho de la boca llega,
el alma santa de un Jesús asida.

Dejole al pronunciar entre los labios,
y al descanso salió de la tormenta,
que alteró el Aquilón de sus agravios.

En él goza la luz, sus rayos cuenta,
es antepuesto a los doctores sabios,
coge de muerte vida, honor de afrenta.
