- XXVII -

Rompe la niebla de la noche fría,
de nieve y astro y de cristal ornada,
de perlas orientales esmaltada,
rosada Aurora, y aparece el día.
Descubre el campo la beldad que había
convertido en espanto la cerrada
y oscurísima noche y de pasada
enriquece la tierra de alegría.
Tal a mis ojos la beldad divina
del ídolo purísimo que adoro,
Aurora clara con tu paz parece.
Inclina el Sol, inclina el cielo, inclina
los elementos, y al Pierio coro
gloria mayor que la que goza ofrece.
