- XLIV -

Las peligrosas bravas ondas de oro
donde perdió mi navecilla el cielo,
el resplandor del soberano velo,
que esconde la deidad del alto coro;
el estrellado y celestial tesoro
del florecido, aljofarado suelo;
la pertinacia y el dañado celo
del alma idolatrada que yo adoro;
las iris de mi cielo sosegado;
la mansedumbre y el semblante humano
de quien ahora libremente triunfo;
el altivo desdén del pecho helado,
armas fueron del crudo amor tirano
y ahora son trofeos de mi triunfo.
