Este divino objeto en forma humana
que menosprecia altar y estrellas pisa,
mata en un punto y nos parece aprisa,
tanto el que muere a tales manos gana.
Poderosa razón la ley tirana,
que primero da muerte y luego avisa,
teniendo en el enojo y en la risa
aire supremo y fuerza soberana.
¿Cuándo alma exenta a rayos de sus ojos
no percibió del poderoso ciego
a luz más pura efectos alumbrados?
Nueva ambición de apetecido fuego,
a donde por su causa los enojos,
como si no matasen presurados.
