- XXXIII -
Después, Amor, que mis cansados años
dieron materia a lástima y a risa,
cuando debiera ser cosa precisa
el costoso escarmiento en tus engaños;
y de los verdaderos desengaños
el padre volador también me avisa,
que aunque todo lo muda tan aprisa,
su costumbre común niega a mis daños;
cuando ya las razones y el instinto
pudieran de mi mismo defenderme,
y con causa fundada en escarmiento;
en otro peligroso laberinto
me pone Amor, y ayudan a perderme
memoria, voluntad y entendimiento.
