Amor, Amor, tu ley seguí inconstante
perdida la razón, perdido el tino,
y el efecto cruel de mi destino
no quiere que me queje ni me espante.
Y así, para pasar más adelante,
faltan a mí tus fuerzas y camino,
y el porfiar siguiendo un desatino
será ser loco, pero no constante.
No me vendas tan caros tus trofeos,
que ya de escarmentado, mi fortuna
esta parte reserva de tu mano,
no dejando los íntimos deseos
rendidos a la cólera importuna
que su fuerza y poder resiste en vano.
