Ofensas son, señora, las que veo,
hechas a vuestras grandes perfecciones,
porque adonde acredita sus pasiones
sólo Amor las escribe y yo las leo.
Vencida queda el arte del deseo,
los imposibles dando por razones,
y en esta fe, tan libre de opiniones,
fundo lo que de vos no alcanzo y creo.
Si en lo menos se pierde más el tino,
¿en lo más qué será de aquel traslado
que procura sacar el arte en vano?
Sólo yo tengo aquel tan peregrino
en que el original no está agraviado,
hecho en mi corazón por vuestra mano.
