- XV - A la muerte de don Felipe de Tarsis que murió en el cerco de la inclusa
Cenizas de aquel fuego valeroso,
en su glorioso oficio consumido,
yace aquí; el espíritu es ya partido,
tras mayor palma a oficio más glorioso.
El paso a fama eterna presuroso
queda libre del tiempo y del olvido,
el fin en fuertes pechos esculpido,
y tanto corazón de él envidioso.
Fama en el mundo y en el cielo gloria
ofrecen a tu suerte aquí muriendo,
siendo esas mismas prendas tus heridas.
Sin que puedan morir en la memoria,
ni la sangre por ella que ofreciendo
está a tu madre dos eternas vidas.
