Mal haya el temerario, el ambicioso,
en el mar monstruo cuando no marino,
que hurtó al bosque el mal nacido pino,
para darle a Neptuno proceloso;
y fiero labrador de campo algoso
sembró en el viento el porfiado lino,
que entre aquilón y cierzo dio camino
a náutico inculcar piélago undoso.
Porque a insultos piráticos el puro
rubio expuso, metal solicitado
de tantas hoy fatigas perennales.
Por cuya ya venganza el frigio muro
de lágrimas sangrientas vio bañado
cuando entre ciego honor, llamas fatales.
