Enfrenó el curso, y sin ocaso el día
los campos de Anfitrite no rodea
el gran pastor de Admeto, ni Febea
menguada o llena forma descubría.
Sobre cándidas rosas se reía
la primer causa en soberana idea,
y con ángeles mil la bella Astrea
himnos en su alabanza repetía.
Cuando a la horrible voz, las esparcidas
reliquias de las almas fueron velo
destinadas al bien o mal eterno.
Y en un punto las causas definidas,
fueron los justos como a centro al cielo
y de precintos se ocupó el infierno.
