Este que viste nieve en vaga pluma,
de las frondosas ninfas dulce hermano,
surca el imperio de las ondas cano,
cometa de los orbes de la espuma.

Sátiro de los bosques hoy presuma
no fiar lino al aquilón insano,
albor sin desplegar, que imita en vano
sabio monte africano en pompa suma.

Corte, pues, altamente obedecido,
el blanco seno al húmedo elemento,
hoy que a más pura nieve debe tanto.

Borrarás de estas aguas el olvido,
sacra piedad, florido apartamiento,
y no menos mi envidia que su canto.
