¡Oh volador dichoso que volaste
por la región del aire a la del fuego,
y en esfera de luz quedando ciego
alas, vida y volar sacrificaste!
Y como en las de Amor te levantaste,
tu fin incauto fue el piadoso luego
que te dio libertad, pero tú luego
más con el verte libre te enredaste.
Efectos de razón, que aquellos brazos
soltando prenden, y, si prenden, matan
con ciegos nudos de eficaz misterio.
¡Oh muerte apetecida, oh dulces lazos!,
donde los que atrevidos se desatan
vuelven con nueva sed al cautiverio.
