Llegar, ver y entregarme a sido junto,
la deuda general pagada os tengo,
y a ser de vos injustamente vengo
condenado si culpa en sólo un punto.

Padezco el mal, la causa no barrunto,
que yo sin esperanza me entretengo,
y sólo de adoraros me mantengo,
vivo al servir y al merecer difunto.

Quien sabe tanto y claramente entiende
que esperar algo es yerro sin disculpa,
con la intención no puede haber errado.

Miro, y no hallo en mí de que me enmiende;
mas, si desdichas las tenéis por culpa,
¿cómo estará sin ella un desdichado?
