En el mes claro, a junio antecedente,
cuando pródigamente le da al Toro
los rubios rayos de su carro de oro
el gran planeta en tronos del Oriente,
a las márgenes frías de una fuente,
en suspiros dolor, perlas en lloro,
aquella en cuyo líquido tesoro
mata celoso Amor la sed ardiente,
matizando en jazmines las orillas
que quiso florecer su pie sagrado,
tiernas, quejosas voces prestó al viento.
Por él salieron luego a recibillas,
no salamandria ya de su elemento,
envidia en ansia, en voces mi cuidado.
