- CXVII -
Si facilita amor de mi osadía
el alto fin, si mi esperanza veo
cumplida del más lícito deseo
que atenta voluntad lograr porfía,
novillos dos de la vacada mía
de tus aras, Amor, serán trofeo,
y el humo suave del licor sabeo
del óptimo holocausto afrenta pía.
Plazo feliz será, cuando cumplido
del que con sólo una promesa incierta
desmiente la presente desventura.
Llegue, pues, ya, del término ofrecido
a voluntad constante, gloria cierta,
logre ya tanta fe, tanta ventura.
