Después de mucho viento y mar cortado,
dio un piloto su nave a dulce puerto,
por lograr cielo amigo y tiempo abierto,
sobre arenas pacíficas varado.
Adonde siete lunas al cuidado
se anegó de mar bravo y aire incierto,
debiendo a las envidias lo experto,
debiendo a los peligros lo avisado.
Hoy vuelve a navegar con nuevo engaño,
expuesto a las injurias de los vientos,
observando a planetas los semblantes.
Conozca, pues, el tiempo, sienta el daño
su ruina, trofeo de elementos
será, cuanto escarmiento a navegantes.
