de su ofensa mayor no se recela,
por fantásticos bienes se desvela,
más engañada y menos advertida.
Sólo la voluntad es atrevida;
mas la que con engaños me consuela
no es esperanza ya, sino cautela,
contra lo que presumo de mi vida.
Nueva invención del mal, nuevo castigo,
hacer de los engaños alimento;
más persuadido a lo que menos creo.
Guerra que amor me hace a mí conmigo,
pues desmintiendo siempre lo que siento,
por un fingido bien mil males veo.
