nin los filos de Arabia más fermosos
que los vuestros cabellos luminosos,
nin gemma de topaza tan fulgente.

Eran ligados de un verdor plaziente
e flores de jazmín que los ornaba,
e su perfecta belleza mostraba
cual viva llama o estrella de Oriente.

Loó mi lengua, maguer sea indigna,
aquel buen punto que primero vi
la vuestra imagen y forma divina,

tal commo perla o claro rubí,
e vuestra vista társica e benigna,
a cuyo esguardee merçed me di.
