En el Deuteronomio, yo deseo,
Dios de Abraham, si puedo sin ofensa,
de tu divina ley, dar recompensa
a Ever de la aflicción en justo empleo.
Agradecida estoy a Ever Fineo;
mas o se agravie tu deidad inmensa,
pues para tu justicia no hay defensa;
temo tu enojo y tu justicia leo.
Tu, gran legislador Moisés divino,
que a Dios hablaste con serena cara,
muéstrame de estas dudas el camino.
Milagros muestra tu divina vara;
que al abrir una peña no imagino
que iguale a una duda que declara.
