Si aprendo de la sutil nigromancia
que el católico llama barbarismo,
y excediendo las fuerzas de mí mismo
gozaré de Leonor un breve día,
digo yo, don Gil Núñez de Atoguía,
sin temor de las penas del abismo,
que reniego del cielo y del bautismo,
perdiendo a Dios la fe y la cortesía.
Su nombre borro ya de mi memoria.
Tu esclavo para siempre quedo hecho
por gozar de esta vida transitoria,
y renuncio el legítimo derecho
que la Iglesia me da para la gloria
por la puerta que Dios abrió en su pecho.
