¿Por qué, di, de mis ojos sueño blando
los desvelados párpados no pegas?
¿por qué a mis miembros tus licores niegas
si por el mundo los estás regando?
De mí, porque te invoco vas volando
y a quien menos te busca más te llegas;
bien claro el arte de tus obras ciegas
con castigo cruel me va mostrando.
Si oscuridad procuras, ¿qué tiniebla
como mis ojos? Si el silencio estrecho,
su imagen son, sin dedo, mis dos labios:
llega que alcázar te dará mi pecho,
gruta será mi herida, mi amor niebla,
mi llanto humor, ministros mis agravios.
