Los deslumbramientos, que habéis hecho
lo han sido, oh sol, para mis tristes ojos,
que entre, la luz de vuestros rayos rojos
siento (por ellos) dilatarse el pecho.
Siéntome en tiernas lágrimas deshecho,
y siento, que causando mis enojos
llaméis error, (por sin razón, y antojos)
correspondencia de un amor estrecho.
¿Cómo podrá tener deslumbramiento
quién es fuente de luz a la luz mía?
Corregid (porque viva) el duro acento;
que no nace del sol la sombra fría,
el fuego sí, donde abrasar me siento,
la luz que ciega a mi veloz porfía.
