- LXXXVII - Al corazón temeroso
Piloto sabio, de la nave de oro,
que sobre el mar de amor eleva espumas;
tú que cuentas sus astros, tú que sumas
las arenas, que cercan su tesoro.
Porque das suelta al inefable lloro,
pues en medio navegas de las brumas,
mientras se viste el Alción de plumas
(seguridad debida a tu decoro).
Reposa corazón, olvida el llanto;
no temas tempestades, claro el cielo,
no hay nube que a tu sol imponga afrenta;
mira, que las sospechas pueden tanto,
que harán borrasca en el seguro suelo,
y podrás anegarte sin tormenta.
