Musa por vos a no vivir asida
el alma a pobre (aunque mortal) flaqueza,
levantará a los cielos la cabeza,
y en ellos se escuchara divertida.

Pero está entre temores recogida,
cual liso tronco, entre áspera corteza;
que es máscara del alma la pobreza,
y disfraza los actos de la vida.

No vio mi patria luz de vuestro día,
mal rompe un flaco sol, tiniebla fuerte,
mude, sucede oscura una Alma fría.

Luciréis (consolaos) allá en la muerte,
que como todo el suelo es patria mía,
todo me trata de una misma suerte.
