- XXXII - Tapices de rosas

Borde el Darro gentil su margen de oro
sobre tapetes de esmeralda hermosa,
y matutina, deshojada rosa
en él disipe intacto su tesoro;
las bellas ninfas, olvidando el coro,
en profusión de flores olorosa,
imiten divertidas a la diosa
que presta a mayo su primer decoro;
para que Fénix con altivo orgullo
favorecida pise arroyo y prado:
mas si le da como el amor desvío,
ni deshoje la rosa su capullo,
ni de Flora las ninfas sean traslado:
ni de oro el margen suyo borde el río.
