- CXXIV - Lágrimas remedio del pecado

Dónde me esconderé de vos Dios mío,
si a todas partes me tenéis cercado?
¿Cómo podré ocultaros mi pecado,
sino hay lugar de vuestro ser vacío?

Si pretende el humano desvarío
volar al cielo, en él estáis sentado,
si al fin de la ancha tierra, o mar salado
estáis con eminente señorío.

Si la muda tiniebla solicita,
yerra que en luz del cielo, o sombra humana
no halla estorbo mortal vista infinita.

Cualquier defensa sin mi llanto es vana,
ojos llorad, llorad sentencia escrita
por mano justa en memorable plana.
