Pues descubriste de tu sol ardiente
la hermosa luz de que se informa el día,
pues el oro que Arabia desafía
me descubriste en tu serena frente.

Pues me venció tu proceder valiente,
con fuerzas de una blanda cortesía,
a cuyos pechos el amor se cría,
que en mi tamaño, engendra el accidente:

Los celajes descubres donde asistes,
o soberano luminar esquivo,
así regiones frígidas conquistes.

Que como soy tu esclavo si me privo
de tu presencia, entre memorias tristes,
me aprisiona el amor por fugitivo.
