Si pretendes suspiro nombre, y fama,
pues de mi pecho sales encendido,
hazle que sienta al (sin sentir) sentido,
de aquella que te engendra, y te da fama.

Sigue el curso del fuego que me inflama,
mas que alguna otra vez enternecido,
y serás el primero, que atrevido
en Fénix entra mi amorosa llama.

Seguro vas ardiente mensajero,
pues que le das a la enemiga mía
cierta noticia de que triste muero.

Haz ultraje a su orgullo, y mi porfía,
viste el armado corazón de acero,
de la piedad con que mi amor te envía.
